Based on the hit Broadway play, PASSING STRANGE was adapted to film by Spike Lee. The film follows a young African-American musician known as “the Youth” who is thrust into the world of rock ‘n’ roll on a journey to self-discovery. Screening in conjunction with the Film Blackness seminar at Princeton University taught by visiting professor Michael Gillespie.

Followed by a Q&A with musician, screenwriter, and playwright Mark “Stew” Stewart. Free for PU Students, Faculty and Staff.
