A landmark Italian neorealist film, Vittorio De Sica's BICYCLE THIEVES tells the story of a man who is thrown into desperation and despair when his precious bicycle, the mode of transportation he relies on to arrive at a hard-won job, is stolen in post-World War II Rome. As he and his ten-year-old son search throughout the city, the film becomes an odyssey in which the two encounter the best and worst of humanity. In Italian w/ subtitles.
