E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

This cornerstone of ‘80s cinema from director Steven Spielberg has touched the hearts of generations of young moviegoers. Elliot, a lonely kid living in suburban California, comes across a shy alien in his backyard. They quickly develop a strong bond of friendship after Elliot decides to hide the alien, who he calls E.T. Presented in a new restoration.

This ongoing series allows staff at the County Theater to pick and present their favorite films to our engaged community of cinephiles. This month’s selection of E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL will be introduced by County Theater Lead Manager and Programmer, Justin Jagoe, as his Favorite Film. Here is what Justin had to say about the film, "For me, ET is far more than one of the all-time great children's movies. It inspires moviegoers of all ages to hold on to that childlike sense of wonder, discovery, and compassion each and every day they spend on this planet of ours."
